Follow Each Step to Create a Delicious Meal for Your Family
JUST ADD
• 500g of diced pork
• 200g of diced vegetables
• 250ml vegetable oil for frying pork
• 2 tbsp of cooking oil
STEP 1- DICE, COAT and FRY
Dice the pork in 2.5cm cubes. In a bowl or a dish, coat the diced pork with the TAPIOCA STARCH.
Heat the oil and deep fry the 500g pork for 2mins at 170 degrees
OR
pan fry the pork cubes for 90secs on each side and then set aside.
STEP 2- SWEET, SWEET PINEAPPLE
Drain the PINEAPPLE CHUNKS, rinse with cold water, drain again and set aside.
STEP 3- BRINGING IT ALL TOGETHER IS EASY
In a separate saucepan, heat the 2 tbsp of cooking oil on a medium heat.
Add the pineapple chunks and 200g of diced vegetables.
Cook the vegetables and pineapple for 2mins and add the fried pork to the pan.
Add the SWEET AND SOUR SAUCE and stir gently to coat the pork, pineapple and vegetables evenly. It’s as easy as that! Now you are ready to serve your Sweet and Sour Pork.
STEP 4- MAKE IT A LITTLE SPICY

Add my secret spices from the pack and stir gently to mix through the dish
Cook for 1min and remove from the heat.
The chilli is optional but you can add it along with the other spices if you'd like to add some extra heat to the dish.
SASHI'S HELPFUL TIPS
I like to use pork loin in this dish - it gives the best result and cooks evenly.
Capsicum and carrot are good vegetables to use in this sweet and sour pork dish - they match the sweet and sour flavours perfectly.
You can also use this recipe to make sweet and sour chicken or sweet and sour prawns.
Serve your sweet and sour pork with fragrant jasmine rice. Garnish with fresh coriander or chopped fresh chilli for an extra bite!
